Most people buy from a middleman who bought from a distributor who bought from a factory. We do things differently. We handle the whole thing—from smelting the quartz and winding the filaments to the final seal. Because we own the entire process, we can give you a price that actually makes sense without stripping out the technical quality you need for industrial curing.
Why the Glass Actually Matters
Here’s the thing about quartz: if it’s not high-purity, the tubes will crack the moment they hit a rapid temperature swing. It’s a nightmare to deal with on a production line. For UV work, it all comes down to how much light actually gets through the glass. Cheap tubes block part of the UVC spectrum. That means you end up running more lamps just to get the same result, which wastes energy. We spec our quartz for maximum transmission so you get every bit of power you’re paying for. And if your project needs a specific wavelength, we can add thin-film coatings. It’s a bit more complex to make, but it stops your substrate from overheating.
Power, Heat, and the “Burnout” Problem
High-wattage tubes are great for keeping your line speeds fast. But there’s a catch. If you push a ton of power into a short tube, the end caps take a beating. If you’re spec-ing out a high-wattage short-wave lamp, just make sure your housing has plenty of airflow. If it doesn’t, those seals are going to burn out. To help prevent that, we use industrial-grade electrodes to keep the arc stable and steady.
Swapping Them Out
Nobody wants to spend a whole weekend redesigning their machinery just to change a bulb. That’s why we build our tubes to be drop-in replacements for standard OEM footprints. We offer a few different connector options so your team can get them wired up and running on the shop floor without a headache. Plus, since we run the factory, we can tweak the length or voltage to fit your specific setup. You don’t have to worry about “standard” sizes if they don’t actually work for you.
